Creative Visualization

The Movie of Your Life

by Laura Interval

Ok… so now you understand the concept of the law of attraction, right? You’ve got the power of now down and your doing everything you can to manifest your destiny. Right?

Um….

Yeah… It can all be a little overwhelming and confusing, can’t it? How can you possibly read everything that’s out there and apply it to your own life? Who has the time to practice all of these techniques? The key is to find the concepts and tools that work for you… and practice them in your own way.

I have to admit, I’m always looking for shortcuts. For me, visualizing is the quickest, easiest and most powerful way to make sure I focus on my goals everyday. The trick is to get really clear on your intention and see it everyday in your mind. It’s like writing, producing, directing and staring in the movie of your life… and then watching it every morning.

The hardest part is knowing exactly what you want; the details. The where, when, who, what and how many. You cannot over think this. If you are lacking any detail of where you want to be, when you want it by, who you will be with, what you will be doing, what you will have, and how much of it all… then, I encourage you to go back to declaring your intention and get really clear on it.

Once you have definite answers, it’s time to make your movie. Take the time to do this now. If you do it fully… build it right, you only have to recall it for a minute or two every morning to reap the benefits. So, get that visual creative brain turned on.

Let’s start with the Where: Make it your dream location. Is it the beach? Which beach? White sand, blue water? Black sand, green water? Be specific. Mountains, city… where exactly in the world. What’s the weather like? How does the air feel? Is it sunny? Beautiful rain clouds everywhere? Know where you are.

The When: When in time is it? What year? Is it next week, next year, next decade? How old are you? Know when it all happens.

The Who: First of all, who are you now? Look in the mirror on your “set”. What do you look like? Do you look the same as you do now? Has your physical body changed? Is your image different? How do you see yourself?

Secondly, who is in the movie with you? If there is just one important scene, for one minute, is someone next to you? Who else is important in this movie?

The What: What are you doing? Are you standing, sitting, working, running, jumping up and down for joy at your success? What activity are you doing?

The How Much: Now, just give yourself more of whatever it is that you want. More money, more success, more love, more work, more sunshine, more happiness… whatever it is that you have declared that you want… give yourself more of it in this scene!

You now have a great "movie clip" of YOU in your future. You should feel excited and inspired by the vision you’ve just had. If you’re not energized, go back and add to your film until you are!
Now you have a memory of your future stored away. A “film clip” of where you are headed and how it will be. When you wake in the morning, watch it. Really see it, feel it and know that it is what you are manifesting. It will motivate you throughout the day… and help guide your actions. See it as you fall asleep at night. Call on it anytime you need inspiration or encouragement. It should both comfort you and energize you.

This works! By focusing on your future and your intentions, even for a minute, you are employing the laws of attraction and positive thinking. You are aware of your intentions and putting energy towards them. Last year, my vision for myself was an office at the beach. I wish you could see the beautiful waves outside of my window right now!
